We are kind of rookies with the whole blogging thing so hopefully we get better as we go. We'll start off with telling you a little about our journey here- it was quite the adventure. We bid farewell to our families at the airport and we were off.
At the airport in SLC
- First stop- Denver, Colorado. We landed in Denver and lucky for us, our good friend Abelardo is selling pest control for the summer there so he and one of his friends came to pick us up and treated us to a piece of cheesecake at the one and only Cheesecake Factory. A drunk lady also entertained us after dinner.
At The Cheesecake Factory
- Houston, Texas- Home of George W. Bush. Yes, we did get to spend a few hours in the big W's home state, it was a real treat! Lez had to put Helz down for a nap so she wouldn't be cranky for the rest of the trip, it was a success.
- San Jose, Costa Rica- Our home for one month. And boy, it is different than what we were expecting. It is green and beautiful but also kind of dirty. They don't understand the concept of having garbage cans on the streets- maybe we'll introduce them to it! Lucky for Lez, her main bag was sent on a mini vacation to Cleveland without her. Her name was called over the intercom in the airport and that's when they bore the news to her. She handled it like a champ mostly because she was fully prepared for it because if lost luggage were to happen to anyone it would be her. The suitcase is supposed to be - delivered to our house today sometime- so keep your fingers crossed!
- We were then shuttled from the airport to our school and then picked up by our parents. We lucked out- Our Mom and Dad are great! Their names are Rosie and Carlos. We were greeted with hugs and kisses and were then driven to our house. The streets are crazy here! When people told us to be safe we thought they meant from crazy pick pocketers here not the drivers!

Today was our first day of school- Our Mom rode on the bus with us so we knew how to get here. We met up with everyone and it's somewhat of a relief to be able to speak to people in English. We've had orientation and communication class and we have our grammer class in about an hour.
Our first day of school
We will take more pictures as time goes on and give you a real tour of our house. We still have a lot to learn so good thing we have some time! Adios! Lez 'n Helz
Glad you guys made it safe!! Love the song choice you have playing. Just wait till your weekend getaways and then you'll get to see how beautiful Costa Rica is!! The drivers are so crazy there!! Todd and I rented a car and yes Todd had to drive there. I was freaking out most of the time!! Enjoy!! I'm glad you guys have a blog!! Be safe!!
